B.S. in Chemical Engineering
I first joined Praxair as an intern when I was studying at the University of Buffalo. I enjoyed that I was trusted right from the start. I had responsibility and authority – as well as a mentor who helped me build my skills.
So when the opportunity to stay with Praxair permanently came up, I grabbed it with both hands.
That was six years ago. Since then, I have worked on all sorts of projects as a Process Engineer. It's like having puzzle pieces, and being asked to solve problems in the way that I think is best. That’s part of what makes working at Praxair so great. It’s a place where your ideas are valued and your expertise comes to life. Where employees are trusted to deliver smart work and the entire organization does what it can to help.
I've also had the opportunity to work in Rio de Janeiro for 2 years, broadening my horizons and developing the skills it takes to work in a global environment. That's what is great about working for Praxair - you have the ability to challenge yourself in new arenas, whether it's a different region or job function. Making your dreams come true is up to you, but the support is at your fingertips.
